Thank you to everyone who got muddy with us in Crystal Palace this year, we hope you had loads of fun, thank you so much for choosing to support Battersea!
Photos taken on the course and at the finish podium can be viewed and purchased online.
Brand new for 2024! The Muddy Dog Challenge London is an urban twist on the renowned Muddy Dog Challenge events. Whether you’re keen to run, or would rather walk, you can tackle the obstacles with friends and family, with or without a dog. While the city setting of this 3K course may trade some muddy obstacles for those that will test your agility, the joy of the event remains unrivalled.
Crystal Palace Park is a beautiful park spanning 200 acres in south-east London. The park is a short walk from both Crystal Palace Station and Penge West Station.
By taking part and fundraising for Battersea, you’ll be helping us provide love and care for the thousands of dogs and cats that come into our care, and even those that might never find their way to a Battersea centre.

TRAVELLING TO THE EVENT
There is no event specific parking. Free parking is available at the Thicket Road, Anerley Hill and Crystal Palace Park Road entrances to the park, however spaces aren’t guaranteed. We would therefore encourage anyone that is able to do so to travel to the event by public transport. The park is a short walk from both Crystal Palace Station and Penge West Station and there are multiple buses serving the park. The start of the course will be at the Crystal Palace Bowl, please head there when you arrive at the park.
First aid and veterinary cover will also be available on the day.
RAISING MONEY FOR DOGS AND CATS
We ask each Muddy Dog Challenge participant to try and raise at least £100. This helps us cover the cost of the event and ensures we can maximise the funds going directly to the animals in our care. Although there is no fundraising target for children, if you are running with a child we encourage you to try and raise more than £100.
Head to the Fundraising page for fundraising tips, and more information on how your money helps dogs and cats. The money you raise not only helps us look after the animals arriving at our three centres, it also helps us be here for dogs and cats further afield.
