MUDDY DOG CHALLENGE NOTTINGHAM RESCHEDULED
We made the difficult decision to postpone the Muddy Dog Challenge Nottingham event due to take place on Saturday 29 June due to forecasted high temperatures. The event has now been rescheduled for Saturday 12 October.
At Battersea, animal welfare is our top priority and we have a duty of care to all the animals and owners taking part in our events which we take very seriously. This difficult decision was made by the Muddy Dog team and Battersea’s team of vets, who have been monitoring the weather in the lead up to the event. We appreciate that the forecast may change in the lead up to the weekend however we have made this decision today, as opposed to closer to the event, to avoid incurring further costs from suppliers. Please note, the event will remain postponed regardless of whether the forecast changes for the weekend. We are working hard to rearrange the event to a date later in the year. If you are registered to participate or volunteer, please check your emails for further information.
Returning for the third year, the Nottingham Muddy Dog Challenge is taking place in the grounds of the spectacular Wollaton Hall – an Elizabethan mansion, set atop a hill in Wollaton Park, in the beautiful suburbs of Nottingham.
Please take the time to plan and familiarise yourself with your journey prior to the event:
By car: Wollaton Hall is 3 miles to the west of Nottingham city centre and can be found by following the brown signs from the A52 or the A6514. Please note that the only entrance to the site will be via the Wollaton Road entrance.
Parking: Pay and Display Parking is available at Wollaton Hall, participants can use coins to pay for parking using the machines, or pay by card using theRingGo app (Location code: 18914) or by calling 0115 8714000. Parking is charged at £3 for three hours, £5 for the full day.
By Public Transport: There are many bus/tram links to Wollaton Park and you can call the Travel Centre on 0115 950 6070 for details.
PLEASE NOTE, TICKETS FOR MUDDY DOG CHALLENGE NOTTINGHAM HAVE SOLD OUT.
Please visit the homepage to find another event.
You’ll get a Muddy Dog Challenge t-shirt, and a bandana for your dog to wear on the day. After you’ve completed the course, you’ll be awarded a medal, and your dog will get a rosette to wear with pride.
Friends and family are welcome to come along on the day, and you and your four-legged friend will have a chance to refuel with plenty of food and drink on offer in the event village.
First aid and veterinary cover will also be available on the day.
We ask each Muddy Dog Challenge participant to raise £100 to help us to be here for every cat and dog. Although there is no fundraising target for children, if you are running with a child we encourage you to try and raise more than £100.
The money you raise by taking part in the Muddy Dog Challenge will go towards the running of Battersea.
